HE stopped singing and as her singing seemed to slow he placed another kiss on her cheek. He wanted their actual first kiss to be something special. His chest rose and fell slowly. His eyes roaed the girl for a moment before he looke daroun d the rest of the room. he would stay silent, knowing he didn't need to say anything, just needed to be there for her.

Charles was such a good person, Kennie admired him greatly for his kindness toward her when she probably seemed to be a bit of a burden, especially since it was the middle of the night. Surprisingly, she felt herself relaxing a bit, her eyes remained closed, and although she was not asleep, she was resting. That in itself felt amazing. Kennie hoped that Charles would go back to sleep, she didn't want him to fall behind on rest because of her. She breathed in deeply, and exhaled. She was finally starting to feel at peace. The feeling was foreign to her, she had not had that in a long time...

His chest rose and fell and his eyes closed as he listed to her breath. He didn't mind staying up with her or even staying up while she slept if it meant he knew she was safe and sleeping well. He wouldn't fall asleep or so he told himself he wouldn't He wanted to make sure she fell asleep first, but it was hard to tell really if she was asleep or not. Eventually he fell back asleep.

Kennie felt good in Charles' warm arms, safe and secure. It felt so strange, but it was such a relief to finally be at peace for once. She slowly drifted back to sleep, it was light, but restful. No more dreams came to her that evening, which was a good thing. Kennie didn't wake again until sunlight began to pour through the window. She held back a groan as it woke her, then flicked her wand at the blinds without transferring her position. They closed, blocking out most of the light. But her body refused the allow her to go back to sleep again, so she slipped her wand back up her sleeve and remained still. She would get out of bed when Charles did.

The sun didn't bother him that much, he continued to rest, his chest gently moving up and down as he slept. Maybe five or ten minutes after Kennie woke up so did he. He moved to lay on his back and stretched his arms abovve his head with a slight yawn befor rolling back to his side to see Kennie there. It all rushing back to him , he placed a small smile on his face. "hey.." He said softly.

"Morning," Kennie said with a bit of a yawn. That had been the first restful sleep in a long while. Yes, she did still feel tired, but it was nothing compared to the extreme exhaustion of late. She sat up and swung her legs over the side of the bed and lightly touched her feet to the stone floor. The cold bit at her feet, so she drew them back onto the bed again, pulling her knees to her chest and resting her head upon them. She looked to Charles, even first thing in the morning he still looked... Well... Amazing. "Did you sleep well?" asked Kennie.

He smiled watching her and the reaction she had to the cold stone floor. His smile grew bigger as she had reacted, but became a soft loving smile as she turned to look at him. "I think that had to be the best sleep i've have gotten in a few weeks. " Which was true, he had been so worried about what the appropriate thing to do to get Kennie's attention and etc that he didn't get much sleep. After all he had never felt this way before a girl, even a girl that he still barely knew .There was just somethign about her that told him she was it.

Kennie sighed quietly, she felt drowsy from having just woken up, but not exhausted, as if she hadn't slept at all. That was the way that it had been for a long while. On the rare occasion that she could return to sleep after one of those nightmares, it was always uneasy and not terribly restful, as she would wake up every ten to fifteen minutes. "Likewise," Kennie agreed. It was Thursday. They had lessons. Kennie figured that perhaps she ought to make her way down to the Hufflepuff dorms and get ready for the day. She wanted a quick shower, then attempt at eating breakfast.

"I'll see you saturday then.." He watched her, not sure very much how to part with out it seeming haste or rude or well anything negative. "I'm going ot go run and get changed then go grab a bite to eat before classes." He stepped off the bed finding his shoes and looked around the room once more. He smiled and then looked towards Kennie and kept the smile on. "Till then.." He smiled as he backed away and out of the room.

"Until then," Kennie agreed with a nod. She followed Charles out of the room, but then went the opposite way that he did. She needed to go all the way down to the Hufflepuff dorms, which were located in the basments, whereas she remembered the Gryffindor commons being up in a tower somewhere. The floor was cold against her bare feet, but it stung less with every step. She made her way quickly down the stairs, thankful that the staircases were being lazy and deciding to stay put.
