ROXANNE MARIA ASHFORD !!
Roxanne had placed herself in the common room, she sat on one of the black couch's with her legs out stretched. Her leg wasn't as painful as it had been, but for the most it had stopped bleeding. She sat in her seat and leaned forward placing her elbows on her knee. Something really bug her. Why had he set off so quickly? There was a noise from behind her and she turned around to see some of her friends come in all laughing. One of them looked at her. "Hey Roxie want to come to the forbidden forest with us tonight?"
[/color] She giggled away and Roxie shook her head. "Ugh, no, i have a lot going on and that, maybe another time."[/b] She replied. They didn't pressure her into it, the just said ok and walked up to the dorms to get ready, now things where quiet. She needed a answer, otherwise she would be awake most of the night. She remember he would be in a empty classroom. She slipped her jumper on, she still had his shirt wrapped around her leg from the recent injuring. She left the common room and walked threw the dungeons, she moved past many Slytherins who seemed to all have the eye on her leg. She rolled her eyes and continued to walk around, she soon came to the Entrance hall where only a few students where, mostly seventh years. Shaking her head she carried on till she saw the empty classroom nearing. She slowed her pace down and came to the door. She peeked in and as he said, saw him in the classroom. She opened the door and leaned against the door frame with a half happy and half very annoyed look upon her face. Could you blame her though? She wasn't sure if he had noticed her yet, but she would make her presences known very soon. "Why did you take off so quickly?" She demanded. She wanted to no what was so bad about her last name, wasn't like it was known for a bad reason, it was a normal last name. Her eyes wandered around the empty classroom and she walked in and sat down on the nearest chair to her. With her foot she kicked the door and it closed. He wasn't going anywhere until she got her answer, and she wouldn't leave him alone. She probably was stubborn, this was the reason people didn't like her in that way, she demanded things a lot and was violent, sometimes to stubborn to care.[/blockquote][/blockquote]

He was in pajama pants and a white undershirt, about to head to the office in the back of the classroom that was currently acting as a place to sleep on days he didn't feel like traveling back home. He jumped a little, hand o ver his chest for a bare second as he turned around to see it was Roxanne, though he kne it was her by her voice. "I needed to take care of some stuff.. Ms. Ashford." He looked her in the eyes, hoping by calling her like he would a student might help his head associate what was right and wrong "It's late Ms. Ashford.. past curfew..." He had been working on some idea for the quidditch team he played for. It had just hit hi mrandomly, woke him from sleep actually. Notes were on the chalk bored The old classroom was actually clean looking and unclutter the opposite of what it was two or three days ago. He watched her close the door with her foot and rather hard. He moved away and up the small staircase in the back of the room into the office. Onhe ground lay a sleeping bag and a pillow. In the cornor was a duffle bag with some clothes and omnn the desk was an old picture of Anabelle, a picture of him with his siblings and then one of his mom. Also on the desk was some paper work. Th first years had been quized today and were going to get another quiz next week. " I'd recommond you get back to your quarters." He moved out of the office, and move way down the small staircase . This would look horrible if a professor walked in.

ROXANNE MARIA ASHFORD !!
She shook her head and bit her lip from the inside of her mouth. She wasn't leaving until she got some answers. If she was to go back to the common room, she wouldn't stay there long knowing her friends. She knew it couldn't of been anything like that. His reaction to her last name caused him to leave so quickly, and for her to continue to wonder. Yes it was past curfew, but everyone knew a Slytherin never was in their common room at curfew, never. Nor would they be asleep until later that night. Sometimes her personality would shine nicely, but, their was always a scent of her Slytherin personality. Everyone had a Slytherin personality, especially toward Slytherins.
She sighed, she didn't move, she just sat their on her seat and folded her arms stubbornly. "I'm not leaving until i get some answers." She replied and looked at the ceiling, she would probably be in here for a while. Even if it cost her points from her house, she didn't care. She wanted to get to the bottom of this. "The way you reacted to my last name was just.." Roxanne didn't know the word for it, when he reacted the way he did, it shocked her. "It wasn't as someone should react to a last name." Maybe her father had taken on that name.

He sighed as he moved downd the staircase complketely, but decided it was best he stood as far as he could from the girl. "It wasn't the last name completely.. It's the face I'm only 20 years old.. and considered a professor." He ran thumb against one eye while another finger ran againt the other eye to get the sleep out of his eyes. He ran his hair through his hair, scratching his head out of, well he wasn't sure his body felt a bit dead at the moment.
"Your very attractive and if I didn't know you were 16 I could easily mistake you as 18." He moved to sit by a window. His head turned to look out the window. Trying to get the crazt idea that Roxanne could even be related to his last girlfriend who didn't even complete her 7th year.. and he had to complete it alone. did he find the 16 year old attractive because she did remind him of Anabell.. if so then there was no basis of a relationship there. He shook his head to get the thought out. Did he really just think in his head about trying to get closer to a student. This was terrible, very terrible. "I wasn't just saying you were cute to change your attitutde on the being single situation.. " Hise eyes moved towards the black sky to the Slyherin. "Now I think it's time you left." Night time..left him vulnerable. he had never acted when vulnerable, but he never had even met someone that would make him want to act.. well stupid

ROXANNE MARIA ASHFORD !!
She frowned slightly and stubbed her foot into the floor and looked back up at him. She didn't know what to say, she played with her hair for a bit and sighed. This was quite awkward for her, yes, most students fantasized over male professors, but only because they knew nothing could happen and mostly to socialize with the other girls. Shaking her head she stood up and opened the door about to leave. Then again, she didn't want to leave without saying anything, he might get the wrong idea and think she doesn't like him anymore. Her head was spinning and it made her feel sick. She turned her head. "Your quite handsome."
[/b] She said and sighed and closed the door. She wasn't going to leave, she simply leaned against the wall near to the door, eventually she slide down the wall onto the floor. She landed with a thump and just sat there starring into space, she could gt in a lot of trouble f another professor walked past, but she couldn't careless at the moment.[/blockquote][/blockquote]

He took a deep breath and then heard the plop. He had thought maybe his work on her leg didn't do anything and she just fell to the ground, maybe out of pain. He moved hurridly to the door, opening it he found the girl sitting against the wall. "Come in.. wouldn't want you to get in trouble.. If somone just sees you . say I was giving you a lecture about being up after curfew." He moved back and held the door open for her waiting. "I want to show you something." It was one of the two reasons he couldn't act on how he thought about her One reason was because it was frowned apon. If she wa 18 it would be looked at as ok. The other reason was because of his last girlfriend.. which was about 3 or so years ago. He moved up the staircase to the little office. Taking the picture of the girl, he moved back down into the classroom. He smiled looking to it
"This is anabell " He handed the picture to her. "Anabell Ashford. She had a cousin named Roxanne. We had discussed our family one day... she said she didn't really knmow her cousins that well. Saw them once maybe when she was a baby. Then said.. that her mom kept her away from them because of hre uncle being sort of messed up in the head. She never new her dad.." He stood there watching the back of the picture frame. The girl hade similiar traits to Roxanne.. a trait both their mothers must of inherited from their mothers.

ROXANNE MARIA ASHFORD !!
She sat there for a while before hearing the door open and looked up seeing him standing there. She sighed and said nothing and stood up pushing herself away from the wall and walked into the classroom. Wouldn't be the first she would of been lectured on curfew time, mostly she was out and hardly slept. She walked in and sat on one of the desks nearest to the front and watched as her walked away and came back a few minutes later with a picture. She took the picture and looked at it and immediately recognizes the girl. She remember the day her dad and auntie had a argument on the fact he wasn't right to look after children and his obsession with the dark lord wasn't safe. Her mind drifted back to that same event.
Their voices echoed threw out the liven room and little Roxie hid behind a Small chair while the pair argued. "Your not fit enough to be a father, your obsession with the dark lord has drawn your wife crazy!" There was a crash as a vase was knocked over. "My faith for the lord is none of your concern! Neither is it of yours to question if i can look after kids!" The tears streaming down her eyes as before her very eyes her family was torn apart. "You shall never be good enough for my sister!" She hadn't finished there though. "Your a obsessive and vile man!" Another piece of china was thrown on Roxie's direction it smashed on the chair and she screamed.
She filched slightly and looked at him, she gave back the picture. She looked at her arm where the faint, but visible scar laid after that had been smashed don the chair. Was it her fathers fault her family was torn apart. She looked away from him at the floor and sighed. The fights, the arguments, their wasn't one good memory for Roxanne, the happiest she had been was the beginning of Hogwarts. "They never got along, the fights could go on for hours, the injuries where endless and my father would use me or my sister as a defense to save himself for serious injuries."
[/b] She said trying to hold back her tears. She had never been in a real family, people always taunted her on how no one loved her, no one in her family. It scared her to say, she knew it was true. She gave him back the picture and gazed at the floor. "My aunt rarely looked upon me, considered me one of my fathers new creations." Her father had dreamed of her going into being loyal to the dark lord, how could she tell him she didn't want too? When she told him things that he wanted to do that she didn't, he would et annoyed with her. Break things but never attack her, not yet anyway. "I've never been close to any family member of mine, we never get along anymore."[/b] She sighed.[/blockquote][/blockquote]

He closed his eyes as he moved t sit behind the teachers desk in the empty classroom. HOlding the picture, he stared at the beautiful 7th year. He smirked for a second and it disappeared a sadness coming over his face. "Sorry it's hard to let go of someone you love.. I knew she'd die from cancer but didn't think" He stopped talking his eyes seemed a bit watery but no tears behind his eyes. "When we were 7th years that would have made you a 2nd or 3rd year.. she'd keep an eye on you... for the distance. She had talked many of times wanting to get closer to you.. so you would trust her..and after graduating she had planned on asking you to come live with her.. so that you wouldn't have to be in that house.. she expected you might say no.. but she was determined.." He placed the picture face down and looked at her. "So when I realized who you were... I left.. not only because of your last name but because as labeled a profesor or even a descent human beign I should look at you as someone younger than me.. as you cousin's ex love I should look at you more as family. but I can guarantee the feelings when talking to you and helping you by the lake were neither..." He leaned back in the chair, his hand going back to fix the portrait so it would stand up. He didn't know how to look the girl in the eye.
"You've gotten your answer.. in full detail.. are you satisfied?" He said softly , his eyes closing for a second. He wasn't sure how the girl was going to react or what she might do, but she wanted to know and he had no reason why not to. Besides he wanted to try to get her to distance himself from her it was confusing.. because he knew he should watch over her. continue what her cousin was doing, but at the same time.. he tried to clear his mind.

ROXANNE MARIA ASHFORD !!
Out of mostly anything, this had made her reflect on how she saw her father. After protecting him and telling people he isn't a bad person, she knew she was very wrong about him. She thought of how someone she loved endlessly could trow it in her face with putting her life on the line for his. The amount of times she got injured, she hadn't learned. The only question she wanted answered was for her father answer, why had her mother left her with him? She knew if she asked him, he wouldn't react in a kind fashion but hit her for mentioning that womens name. After all these years of thinking she got on well with her father, she didn't. A sigh escaped her lips as she moved off sitting on the desk to sit on one of the seats.
She leaned on her elbows and looked at the floor. "Forbidden.." She whispered to herself not knowing if he hard or not, since it was. Students and professors weren't to have any further relationships, it wasn't allowed, other students wouldn't react kindly to it either. She ran a hand threw her hair and sighed deeply. She always knew her mothers side was the better side, but why hadn't she seen that side sooner than now? "Never knew she cared for someone out of my family." She said and looked at him then starred at the window. Her heart told her everything was turning out right again, but her head told her that somethings she should just leave behind. She looked at him from where she sat. "Mostly i am."
[/b] she replied and looked away.[/blockquote][/blockquote]

" I know. " He said softly. "even if you were 18 I wouldn't know what to do. after all your her cousin." He paused and talked lowly, amlmost to himself. "It's like I can't escape.." being some how connected to the girl he use to love. He watched her closely for a moment. She had said for the most part?
"Why? You came for your answer.. you got it.. what else is there?" He watched the girl closely. she was5 years younger than him and he kept reminding himself of that and the fact she was related to his last girlfriend. At this point, three years gone by he never really thought he'd find interest in someone. But the cirmustances were all wrong and he had to clear his mind. He wanted to give up on relationships. Sure he had fans, from quidditch. Others of his so caleld fans just used him to get to Oliver Wood. There were plenty of girls that would like to go on a date with him, but none of them seem to be good enough.

ROXANNE MARIA ASHFORD !!
Sometimes, things should be left un answered, but for Roxie, this wasn't the case. To her, all things in her life shouldn't be confusing, she had the answer for one part, but now a new door was open, another that Roxanne had many questions for, many wouldn't be answered. The only one that bothered her was if her cousin knew how her father was like, why didn't she help her, not stood in silence and let her get used as a defense from other wizards or her own family. She felt her blood boil for no reason and she moved her hands under the table and clenched her fists a few times then let a sigh out. These question must go on forever in her mind.
She looked at him. "If she knew how my father acted toward me and my sister, why didn't she bother to help us?"
[/b] She said her eyes filling with tears and she looked away. If she cared so much to watch her, why didn't she help her. She had been scared and alone all these years while someone knew what she was going threw. She didn't care if she got killed by her father, as long as her sister was safe. A single tear dropped but she was sure to wipe it away before he noticed anything. [/blockquote][/blockquote]

"She tried.." The sad look came back to his face.. a tear actually running down his cheek before he himself started to grow angry. He calmed himself down to explain. Moving over towards the girl, he knelt down next to her. " when you were a first year.. her parents were to afraid. . but she was stubburn.. something I loved about her.. she tried and your father almost killed her. I had to sit in the hospital for days with her... he controlled her body.. made her hit her head against the wall .. take a knife to her thigh.. I don't know what else he did to her....but I wanted to kill him. " He placed a hand on top of hers. He waited to see what her reaction would do.
"I'm not the killing type. I believe if you don't want to become your parents then you can change it.. other wise I'd have been in slytherin.. and i'd proably be on the side of dark lord.. even though my parents were muggles.. my father.." He stopped. "Sorry.. rambling. The point is she tried and she was legally pronounced dead for five minutes, before she came back to life." He wasn't about to tell her about how the girl died in that accident. He didn't think it was a simple accident. Her cousin loved magic, but she knew not to get attached.. and wanted to fit in with the muggles, which was why she took a bus that day. He blamed himself sometimes, well alot. But as the years went by he let go, but he would always remember her.
He placed his arms around her in a hug. "shh.." He said gently to try and get her to stop crying. "Everything will be alright.. " He wanted to help her, he felt like she should and if he didn't it would just bug him. "Who do you live with now?"

ROXANNE MARIA ASHFORD !!
Her heart ached so much, so many things had gone on around her and she never knew of them. Her eyes glistened as the tears built up. She knew she could hold them in, especially as she had a lot of practice around her so called father. Her Auntie was right, he wasn't a father figure. She started working things out in her head, that was the reason why her mother left them! He was violent, and she was violent like him too, does that mean, she would turn out like him? Her mind wondered and she sighed loudly. She watched as he came over to her and placed his hand on hers, she did nothing. It wasn't meant for a romantic gesture but a comforting one, well, that is how Roxanne saw it.
Her head spun at all the information, but it explained everything. She knew why her mother had left now. She let him hug her and she hugged him, she sobbed quietly and then the thought accord to her, she was mostly like her father. "It is to late, I'm mostly like my father, I'm worried I'll turn out like him when I'm older." She said, now it was obvious she was crying. "I live with my father."
[/b] God help her then, she was mostly worried after he came back from a meeting and didn't get mentioned for something great he did and would take it out on anything that moved.[/blockquote][/blockquote]

Her cousin during her 7th year maybe two weeks away from graduating.. went to Roxanne's father.. told him she was taking Roxanne to stay with her.. he didn't seem to happy about it. She was on a bus with muggles and maybe even a few wizards on her way back to the train station when the accident happened. He hadasked to come along, but she said he would surely kill him and she wouldn't allow that. He remembered teh cancer had taken a big tole on her. she started wearing wigs.. which she seemed to enjoy. She could have whatever hair color she wanted and style. He gave a warm smile.
"You will not turn out to be like your father.. you are coming live with me. I support two mouth already another isn't going to hurt me.. It's not a suggestion.. it's an order." He wasn't just doing this because he knew that her cousin would want him to, but because he cared. After all he was attracted to the girl. But maybe if he treated her more like a sibling.. he would act on any feelings. He then tried to chagne the subject.
"Big Quidditch fan? Free tickets to events.." He smiled trying to bring a positive thing into the conversation.

ROXANNE MARIA ASHFORD !!
Her eyes shone with happiness as he told her she would stay with him, she smiled but it faded quickly. She couldn't leave her sister behind, her sister was more vulnerable than she was. This couldn't be done, nor will it, it was a risk to her, him and her younger sister. She shook her head. "No i can't, i mustn't!"
[/b] She replied and carried on. "If i leave father shall surely come after me and if he doesn't find me, he shall use my sister as a punching bag, he isn't stupid, he had inside sources that watch me, he would find out your helping me."[/b] She explained to him, her eyes sunk and she leaned against the desk. When things seemed to get better they didn't, was this all in her head? She had stopped crying now, she rubbed her eyes on her sleeve and then put her hand by her side. Qudditch, she did like it, but not a mad fan. She mostly liked watching how stressed to losing team got. She hadn't been into Qudditch much, nor flying. Her father never taught her, or bought her a broom at all. So she didn't know how. "I suppose I'm a fan, but not a big one."[/b] She smiled and looked at the window.[/blockquote][/blockquote]
