She moved to a wall, whjich seemed to be just wall. Her eyes closed and her mind wandered. A minute later the doors of the Room of reuirement showed and he entered. The doors disappearing behind her. Ginny Weasley looked around the large room. She just needed a place to escape, where no one could hear her. A piano was in the corner and there was a couch by a fire place. A turntable was playing music. She smiled it was just the type of enviroment she required at the moment. Moving to the grand piano she sat down, her fingers running across the keys.

Kennie wanted away from everyone, even the library wasn't as quiet as she'd like. Someplace with a soft bed, where she could attempt to get some sleep. That was what she really wanted. Kennie had been prone to fall asleep in class because of not being able to sleep at night. The nightmares were so horrible, so vivid, it was like living that night all over again every time she closed her eyes. The door appeared before her and she pulled it open. Kennie had found the Room of Requirement her first year, when she had been hopelessly lost. Piano met her ears, and she saw a girl with bright red hair playing. The door slammed behind her, a second too late for her to grab it and leave, she would have to go somewhere else.

She stopped playing the piano, the music on the turntable continued to play. She stood up and looked towards the door. It was the hufflepuff girl, yes tehre were rumors about her, but one in particular entertained her more like about someone else. She was the girl Charles liked. It was sort of funny to watch him pace the commons trying to get advice. I man the boy was known for flirting.. and randomly making out with people and she'd find him sort of on edge about even getting close to Kennie to try and ask her out. "Come in.. My names Ginny.. Ginny Weasley... Your welcome to stay..Could use some company. "

Under normal circumstances, Kennie would have politely refused and gone about her business, but there was something different about the girl who had introduced herself as Ginny Weasley (where had she heard that name before?). She seemed warm and compassionate. Kennie gave a slight nod and closed the gap between them. "I'm Kennie Bain," she said quietly, though she presumed that Ginny already knew that with all the rumours of late. A bed appeared along the back wall. Aparently the room could tell that she was tired. Kennie ignored it for now. The piano was beautiful, she knew how to play, but hadn't in a while. "D-Do you play?" Kennie asked quietly.

"Um.. Christmas Carols. mostly. Mum and Dad are very big on Christmas." She moved to stand infront of the girl, the distance that was there before was a bit awkward to her. Like a bulls waiting to strike a red cloak. "Do you?" The music still going on in the background from the turn table. All of the sudden music stopped, which meant the disc was done. She smiled warmly towards the hufflepuff before going to the couch. Just a bit to the right of the couch was the turntable, sitting on a small table. She moved through the records. All of which were things she had thought about , things she needed to calm herself down. Putting on a mixed record. The first song played was was a pop song.. second song would be a classical peice and the third would be either cab calloway or frank sinatra, she couldn't really remember. "Your welcome to play the piano if you want.. or just sit.. " She just needed a place to clear her mind, probably the same reason why she was here because nothing new appeared, at least not yet.

"Oh, yes," Kennie said in a small voice, though a tiny bit of enthusiasm showed through quite clearly. She loved music, though not many people were in on her passion for it, she supposed that it was one of the aspects of her life that she kept a bit more private, to keep herself at a distance from people she wasn't comfortable with. She seated herself on the bench, looking down at the keys, she rested her fingers on them lightly, trying to think of a piece to play. She remembered her favourite one, which she no longer required sheet music for and began to play. It was soothing to her, to just sit there and play piano, she had not done so in a long time.

She smiled as she listened to the girl play, she was really goodo. The song was beautiful, it was peaceful. She would have to find out the name of the peice after she was done playing it. Her eyes moved to fire, which seemed to dance with music. Thank goodness for the room of requirement, sometimes she didn't know what she do with out it. It was a good room to just get away, a private place.

This was the best that Kennie had felt in a very long time, it was as if her burdens and pain were coming out through her fingers as she played, easing her tenseness. She lost herself in the sweet notes. This had been the first time she had ever played for anyone that wasn't in her family before. Kennie pressed the final keys, rested her fingers there a moment, and then removed them. She was satisfied with what she had done, it sounded pretty good to her. There were lyrics that went along with it, but she had not bothered to sing. Her voice would have sounded terrible because of her tiredness, and being hoarse from all the crying.

"That was beautiful, what's the name of it?" It would go onto her new collection of music. Who ever was the artist, she would have to find. SHe had taken on muggle like interests, after all it was hard not to when your father loved Muggle contraptions. The burrow, her home, was now in her head. She felt like she needed to go back there even if just for a weekend. Ginny figured it was time again to send another update to her parents. After all mum would probably want to know about the guy she was currently interested in.

Kennie allowed a subtle sigh to escape her lips, she had not felt so content in a very long time, perhaps that was all she needed to do, play a little music now and then. It seemed almost too good to be true, not having the burdens resting upon her shoulders. She supposed that they would return come nightfall, but she wasn't terribly concerned about it. At least, not at the moment. "Meadows of Heaven," replied Kennie. Though peacful, it still was a rather mournful tune, but in a happy, nostalgic sense.

She picked up a peice of paper and a quil and wrote the name down Kennie had given her. Putting the parchment and quil back on the small table next to the couch, she changed positions to make herself more comfortable. Her legs curled up underneath her, her elbow resting on the arm of the right side of the couch. "It really was beautiful." She looked from Kennie to the fireplace wondering if she should bring up another topic. Ginny could use another girl to talk to about well girl things.

"Thank you," said Kennie with a small smile. It faded quickly, just like the good feeling that playing the piano had. All of a sudden she felt the weight of the world was on her shoulders once more. This just wasn't fair. Why did that have to happen to her? She was a good person, wasn't she? What had she done to deserve it? Kennie ran a hand through her hair, she had left it down for once, and she much preferred to have it up, it was simply too long to have down all the time. She bit her lip lightly.

"I know you don't know me.. but you can talk to me.. I'm all ears.. I know about what had happened.. my brother had helped you to the infirmary.. he wants to find the scum bag who did it as much as any one else.. maybe not as much as Charles.. but still" Towards the last bit of her words she really just started mumbling lowly to herself. "It's none of my business.. but when something bugs me.. I find its better to get it out, even if its just in a diary.. though after the entire thing with the other diary.. I sort of stay clear of them.." She smiled and allowed the smile to fade.

Weasley. That was where she had heard the name before, she had thought that it sounded familiar. Ron Weasley. Kennie still felt in debt to him for what he had done for her, but as was typical for her these days, she didn't know how to go about doing that sort of thing. Kennie nodded in response, as she had found herself unable to form words just then. Her parents also encouraged that sort of thing, especially her father. "It's just so hard going through each day," said Kennie, getting off the piano bench, then sitting on the opposite end of the couch. "I've just lost the will to do anything,"

She adjusted her body, so that she could face the girl. She listened to her words and the emotion that came out with them. She took a deep breath and looked to teh fire for a moment before looking back to the Hufflepuff. " I haven't been through that exact situation.. but had the same side effect.. after encountering a magical diary.. which allowed he who must not be named to have a body once more.. didn't matter that harry saved me.. I felt horrible.. for months. Then it just sort of left me.. I don't know how or when.. but I just remember waking up one day and realizing I wasn't in that state of mind anymore, that I hadn't been for a week... Just something that'll take time. it's ok to hold onto something a hate .. being scared of certain things asscociated with the event.. but my father told me if I didn't let go It would consume me.. and then it might lead me onto a bad road.."
Ginny hoped she was helping the girl and not just confusing her, her hands went through her firey read hair as she looked towards the fire. She kept telling herself she was over Harry and with Michael now in her sights it seemed like her crush on him was over, but it never would be.
