Past: Harry was born 31st July 1980 to James and Lily Potter. They were thrilled to have a son and the first few months were great, until the Prophecy was made. They went into hiding using a Fidelius charm, and deciding that last minute to make their good friend Peter Pettigrew their secret keeper, instead of who they had intended to use, Sirius Black. This decision ultimately cost them their lives.

On the day of 31 October, Pettigrew told Voldemort their location, and he immediately went, with the intent to kill Harry. James and Lily thought bravely, but when Voldemort turned his wand on Harry, his own spell rebounded, and being incredibly weakened, Voldemort fled.

The next ten years were almost hell to young Harry. He was placed in the care of his only living relatives, the Dursleys. They despised him, but gave him a roof above his head. The year he turned eleven, he started Hogwarts. That was also the year that the Philosopher's Stone was moved to Hogwarts from Gringotts to prevent it being stolen.

Suspecting none other than his Potion's Professor, Severus Snape, Harry and his best friends Ron Weasley and Hermione Granger went after him down the trapdoor near the end of term. Together they defeated many obstacles, including the Devil's Snare, the giant chessboard, the flying keys, and the potions riddle. Harry alone advanced to find himself facing... Professor Quirrel. They battled until Professor Dumbledore intervened.

The very next year, the Chamber of Secrets was opened, releasing terror upon Hogwarts. And once again, Harry and Ron became the heroes. They forced their Defense Against the Dark Arts professor, Gilderoy Lockheart to accompany them. Later on he cast a memory charm aimed at Harry that rebound upon himself. Harry was left to battle the basilisk and destroy Tom Riddle's diary, he prevailed for a second time.

When Harry entered his third year, there was a new problem. A high-security prisoner from Azkaban had escaped. His name was Sirius Black, and it was rumoured that he was after Harry, to finish what Voldemort had started by killing his parents. That was the year that Harry had his favourite Defense Against the Dark Arts teacher, Professor Lupin. The night that Sirius returned it was discovered by Harry, Ron, and Hermione that the culprit to selling Lily and James to Voldemort was none other than Peter Pettigrew. In an attempt to help Sirius escape, his name was not cleared, and so, he went on the run.

Harry entered his fourth year of Hogwarts to the exciting news that the Triwizard Tournament would take place that year. Ready to not be involved in something for once and have a place in the stands, Harry was pleased. But of course, it could not remain that way for long. The Goblet had chosen him as a fourth champion. Harry competed in the tasks well for a fourteen-year-old, but the last task is where things went wrong. The cup in the centre of the maze was a Portkey to a graveyard, where Harry witnessed the murder of Cedric Diggory. And the resurrection of is worst nightmare; Lord Voldemort.

And now Harry goes into his fifth year at Hogwarts, awaiting the adventures that this term will bring.

Personality: Harry is not always the easiest person to get along with. He is terribly stubborn and hot-tempered. He isn't always sure of what to do or say at the right time and tends to get carried away rather easily. Although he isn't necessarily the smartest one, Harry is bright. He has ambition, once he knows what he wants, he will do almost anything to get it. Loyal and extremely protective, Harry makes an excellent friend, but he is selective about whom he is a friend to. It takes a lot for him to call you a friend.

Many people that Harry meet usually find themselves in the realm of him not particularly liking them, but not hating them either. But once you're in a friendship with Harry, it's not likely that it will end. One of his crucial flaws is that he will do anything for a friend, which usually means he's constantly risking anything. Harry has a certain disregard for rules, not that he feels that he's above them, but he doesn't really care about getting into trouble. Depending on the figure, Harry can be rather defiant towards authority, except for a spare few (Dumbledore, Lupin, et cetera).

Harry is extremely brave, and doesn't get unsettled easily. Even when he's nervous, he doesn't have a tendency to let that on, preferring to look calm and collected. Harry usually bottles up his feelings, so when he gets angry, he gets really angry and tends to lash out on those closest to him. He doesn't usually ever mean much harm by it.

I'd rather be a bit more accurate to the books on this matter, as Harry doesn't become Quidditch captain until his sixth year. So just Seeker for now, if you please.
