Name: Charlotte Renee Winthrop
Age: Fifteen
Year: Fifth
Blood: Half blood
Ethnicity: Caucasian
Wand: Kelpie mane hair, yew, 35 cm.
Appearance:
Pet: A Russian Blue cat named Grover
Family: Jamison Winthrop (father, 42), Wanda Winthrop (mother, 40), Elizabeth Winthrop (twin sister, 15), Jonathan Winthrop (brother, 11).
Personality: Charlotte is quiet and reserved, she doesn't really like talking to people that she doesn't know. She is extraordinarily intelligent, but nobody would really suspect it, as she is too withdrawn to raise her hand in class, in spite of knowing most of the answers.Charlotte spends a lot of time reading and writing, preferring to escape her surroundings in somebody else's life, regardless if fictional or not.
Charlotte is socially awkward, she never knows what to say, or when to say it. She doesn't have many friends, but typically the people that manage to befriend her will remain close friends with her for life. Charlotte is loyal, and in spite of her shyness, she will willingly defend a friend openly, she would do anything for her loved ones. A bit stubborn, once her mind is set on something Charlotte will rarely lose sight of her goal.
Flaws: Charlotte is dreadfully stubborn, doesn't make friends easily, is easily hurt or annoyed, has poor self-esteem and probably spends a bit too much time with her books and writings.
Past: Charlotte and her fraternal twin sister, Elizabeth, were born to magical parents a crisp November morning fifteen years ago. Her father was pure blooded, her mother a muggleborn witch. She had the average childhood as far as magical childhoods go. They lived in a house in the English countryside, half a day's journey from London.
Growing up, Charlotte was always the most quiet of the Winthrop family, especially when compared to her outgoing sister, Elizabeth. It was needless to say that their parents favoured Elizabeth more than the rather nurdy Charlotte. But that never got to her much. She was perfectly content being in the background of the action with her books.
It was no surprise when Charlotte and Elizabeth received their Hogwarts letters, as both girls had shown signs of magic from an early age, but Charlotte in particular was excited about this. She couldn't wait to learn magic, and do spells, and make potions. September first of that very year, they went to Hogwarts.
For Charlotte, her years at Hogwarts have been just as normal as a Hogwarts education can get. Nothing terribly special. And that's just the way that Charlotte likes it, off to the sidelines, watching the world go by.
Sample Role play: Charlotte gently stroked Grover's fur without thinking much about it. He had hopped up into her lap a few minutes earlier, a dead spider clamped firmly in his mouth. The common room was quiet that evening, mostly empty, apart from the people who had left their homework until last minute. As for Charlotte, she couldn't sleep.
The night was still young, but normally she would have headed up to bed long before now. The clock above the fire told her that it was 10:04 in the evening. She thought of her sister, Elizabeth, probably in her common room talking amongst her friends. Charlotte had never really felt jealous of her sister before now, she was lonely. "Good boy, Grover," Charlotte said when she observed the spider she had caught. He was a good cat.
