He had already been in the library working his but off to get his homework done. He had time to get it done, a few days, but he wanted to try and get most of it done today. He probably got 3/4ths done with his homework when some guys came up to him. Apparently there were a lot of guys that either liked Joe or Just wanted to hear how the kissing was. He smiled as he chatted with the guys , switching the subject to quidditch. The boys held there laughs and such till the Librarian came and shhd them.
The boys then split apart and he continued his homework. He had to have been here for what seemed like three hours. Fifteen minutes later, a girl came over to him and asked why he wasn't seated next to Joe.. Which made him realize she was actually in the library for once instead of the commons or the tree. Then again it was raining. The girl pointed him in the right direction and he gathered his things and headed off between the rows of books till he found her sitting there.
"hey you" He moved from across from her and placed his books down on the table. "How are you doing?"

Joey smiled as she saw Simon sit beside her. Her face lit up and she felt extremely calm. As long as she had him, she'd be okay. She knew she would. She bit her lip slightly and put down her quill. "I'm alright I guess. My aunt finally sent me a picture of my mom. She said she didn't have one of my father," Joey shrugged, pulling out her mom's picture for Simon to see. "Its her. Almost exactly like I see in my dreams." Joey had a new found love and respect for the mother she never had. If it wasn't for her mother's gift, Joey wouldn't be there right now. Or she might, but she'd be a lot different. She still wasn't sure why they wanted her. "How are you?" She asked.

He moved over to her and placed a light kiss on her lips before taking a seat next to her. He listened to the girl and leaned over a bit to see the picture. She looked just like Joey, a bit older looking though. He smiled looking at the picture "She's beautiful." He commented. Not sure what to say, but then she asked him how he was. "Fine.. I was actually just around the corner. I've been in here for about three or four hours trying to get most of my homework out of the way." He paused and looked around. "Have you seen Kennie? She still.. sort of .. well you know after what happened?"

Kennie used to hate the library. The complete silence used to fill her head with a blank buzzing noise that made it hard to concentrate, but of late, she practically lived in the library. She had had somewhat of an incessant headache from lack of sleep, and the voices here were hushed, the most noise that happened was an accidental slamming shut of a book. It made the physical pain that much more tolerable. Rain splattered against the window in the back that Kennie had placed her forehead against. The pane was cold on her skin, soothing. She sighed and went to go to her homework. She saw Joey and Simon, but didn't feel like conversation. However, knowing they would pursue once they saw her, she sat at the end of the table they shared with a slight nod to each of them.

"Oh I almost forgot." He stated as he pulled out an old hogwarts newsletter.. Back in the day they would send out newsletters to parents, which list of achievements and other news that would be important for a hogwarts students. He had found a few in the archives. He moved to his satual an pulled out a few thin paper booklets. "Newsletters.. found them in the archive.. thought they might help you.." Each one of the newsletters he handed her talked of her mother. One of them.. which stated her mother being a 7th year.. under a caption of a moving picture.. of him kissing some guy ,his name was in the caption as well. Then there was a short article explaining the photograph. The kiss on the lips seemed to be sort of a shock t the boy. He didn't realize it but the guy did sort of look like the 7th year that was crushing on Kennie.
"Figured out a way to avoid Charles" He stated towards Kennie, instead of his usual hello.

Joey looked at Simon, and then down towards the table and looked around for Kennie for a bit. "I haven't seen her....maybe she's hanging with that Charles guy." She figured she'd be thankful towards anyone who would get Kennie out of her mood. To make her smile again. Joey longed to see that. It was obviously not something even Joey and Simon could do. She smiled over at Kennie as she walked up to their table and sat down. "Hey Ken...."
But before she could ask Kennie how she was... which would've been a dead end anyways... Simon showed her the newsletter clippings that showed her mother. So she had been a Ravenclaw, like herself. But the man she was kissing was a Gryffindor. She bit her lip and looked longingly at her mother for a while. Just wanting to talk to the woman once. The guy was someone she thought looked familiar, but couldn't pin-point it. She looked at the caption that was under it. Her jaw dropped. "Sirius Black...." She simply said, looking at Simon.

Charles. Right, that was the boy that had practically insisted upon accompanying her on her walk a few days ago. It now seemed common knowledge via the gossiping lips of Hogwarts students that they were attracted to one another. Kennie hated this. It wasn't like there had not been enough rumours involving her around the school. First it had somehow leaked out about the incident in the woods, then a Ravenclaw fourth year had approached her and asked if she was pregnant, and informed her that some people were talking about it. She wasn't, thankfully. Now this Charles mess. She wished the castle would stay out of her personal life. Kennie didn't want a relationship right now. Not that Charles wasn't attractive... The long hair and smouldering eyes... But she didn't feel ready. She opened her mouth to say something, but then found she couldn't formulate a response. Kennie's eyes traveled to the window as she watched the rain slap against it. However, her gaze snapped back to Joey at the mention of Sirius Black.

"You think.. he could be.. " He looked towards his girlfriend waiting fora response. It seemed like it could be possible, I mean she seemed like she had his hair.. Maybe he wasn't. He probably wasn't. He looked back to the picture of Sirius Black during his 7th year and took the newsletter in his hand. "Kennie.. does this remind you of someone?" It looked exactly like Charles. He showed Kennie the picture of Sirius Black. He then sat there contemplating.

Kennie leaned forward a bit to examine the picture more closely, it took her a moment to place it, but then it hit her as suddenly as that stunning spell. The man in the picture, Sirius Black, had a striking resemblance to the very boy that she supposedly had a crush on. Charles Height. They looked nearly the same, of course, they couldn't be the same, almost as if they were related. As if Black was his father. Kennie tilted her head to the right slightly, then looked up at Simon and Joey. "Yes, Charles," Kennie said in her quiet monotone. She looked back down at the picture and saw some traits that Joey shared with Black. But that was stupid, it must have been coincidental.

Joey shook her head. "Maybe...they were just friends. Or old boyfriend and girlfriend." She said, rationalizing this discovery. Joey definitely had Sirius' hair. But it was a common trait. She bit her lip slightly...not sure what to think. He really did closely resemble Charles though. She looked at her boyfriend and her best friend. They all had the same idea. Impossible. The guy was a murderer. No way would her mother marry a murderer. She had faith that her mom, a clairvoyant would know something like this. She shook her head again. "She wouldn't...." She added.

Kennie frowned a bit, thinking. This was all one sticky mess, she wasn't sure if she should get involved or not. She figured that she would just remain silent at the end of the table, she might say something if asked, but she found that she didn't care much for talking these days. Words were hard to form, even harder to force out of her throat. At least she didn't cry too much anymore. Just when she woke in the middle of the night from that same nightmare... Normally she would cover up her pain, but it was too much to keep hidden. But still, she couldn't help the feeling that Joey might be of some relation to the mass-murderer, Sirius Black.

Joey folded her arms onto the table and put her chin onto it. This was supposed to be a day of silence and not worrying about who her parents are or why she was almost murdered that night. She just wanted some peace, but that obviously wasn't going to happen anytime soon. No way was she the daughter or Sirius Black. That was final. She refused to believe it. "Theres no way..." She kept repeating. Trying to reassure herself that it was impossible.

Kennie wished that she could say something, anything, but nothing was coming to mind. She frowned slightly as she directed her attention toward the window, watching the rain smack against it. If possible, it was coming down even more heavily now, making the pane of glass rattle. Slightly alarming, sure, but it was the typical weather. It was either light rain or heavy rain. Unless it was winter, then it could be snow or freezing rain. Kennie sighed, not removing her eyes from the window. Why was it that everything had to be so complicated of late? Her personal life, her friends' personal lives... It was a bit overwhelming at times, stressful and certainly confusing.

"No.. probably not.. but what if he was.. maybe theres peices of a story your missing.. I mean if he was .. you said in your dream that your mom was trying to protect you from the woman. Maybe theres just more to the story than you don't know. But it's probably nothing joey." Sirius black was known for his flirting and such, said so in the article that went along with the picture as it described the picture more than the caption did saying ' apparently he's changed his way'. He loved looking at old school papers and such, just bits and peices of history to learn. MAybe not interesting or important to others, but he always thought you could learn things from them.
