Daniel looked at her a bit confused and nodded. "Um..yes. I am." He stepped back towards her a bit and waited for her to start walking, but instead she just made him step away again. " Maybe I should go.." Maybe. Maybe his father was right. Girls were only good at hurting and making you feel horrible. Stepping away from her, Daniel nodded and started walking the way they came. But hearing her speak again he turned around and stepped back up to her. "And I do not speak to anyone, especially not girls. I was just making sure you were ok." He said his voice lowering into an angering voice. Now he just wanted to scare her away and keep her away from him. She was a very intensely pretty girl, and she was just like the others. Turning away, Daniel started back down the hall in which he came.

"Daniel is it not" She called after him. She stood there with, her eyes lowering and then falling. "Thank you.." Her eyes moved back to look in the direction that the boy moved. He didn't talk to girls this made her smile, he seemed different. It made her curious , why would he not talk to girls? She stood there awkwardly , not really knowing what to do noqw. Figuring he was just going to walk off.

He stopped, stopped dead in the hallway and turned around. How did she know his name? He never mentioned it. Walking back over to her he stepped in front of her and leaned forward a bit, his voice lowering. "You already said thank you to that." Pulling back a little, he stood back, letting his arms rest in a position that only a navy commander would. His legs shoulder length apart, his arms resting behind his back in the perfect position. It was like a reaction to Daniel now. He waited, waited for what the girl had to say. He was now speechless.

"I know.. I thanked you for stopping them dance.. in which I could explain my thinking to you, but I figure i'll skip that for now and thank you for getting them to turn me back." She took the hair tie out of her hair, shaking the blond hair loose , she then redid the ponytail. Her eyes watching him the entire time. He was standing in almost a military position. " Are you from a military family? Sorry just curious.. " She did say sorry a lot, but Sara-may was tryign to stop saying sorry.

Daniels face turned confused as he looked at her. Why was she saying thank you for that. She should be happy for what they got. This was a very very confusing girl, and it was intriguing Daniel a bit more then he would have ever cared to admit. "Well maybe you can tell me another time." He said trying to show a small smile, but failing, it was more like a little grin if anything. "No need to be sorry, but yes I am. My father was a Commander in the British Navy." He said looking down slightly before tilting his head back up, trying not to have any memories of the drills. "Um, well, shouldnt you be heading to your next class?" Daniel asked quickly giving her a look. Transfiguration was his last class of the day, but it may not have been hers. Shrugging he watched as the hallways started to empty out.

"That was my last class.." She commented first watching him. He was raised by someone in the Navy, which meant he might actually have manners compared to a lot of the guys at the school. She gave a warm smile towards him and allowed it to fade. "I'll let you go if you rather be alone..." She wished he would stay and keep her company. Not many people even tried to talk to her. She moved over towards the wall and leaned against it.

Daniel nodded and shrugged. "Twas my last class as well. I can keep you company for a bit." He said giving her a small smile. "My night only consists of studying for a few hours, getting homework done, then playing a bit of Quidditch. But I can cut some out." He smiled again and followed her over to the wall and stood in his military position across from her. She had to thought he was weird or something, not everyone walked or stood, or even acted like he did. Actually, noone did. "So...Im not very good at this. What do we talk about?" He kept his gaze on her, at least for now. It was always polite and necessary to look at someone when they were talking. At least that is what Daniel was taught by his father.

"Um interests I guess. Find something in common to talk about." He was cute, and how he stood made him even more cute in her eyes. Her smile came back onto her face, but this time it was more of a flattered smile. He was going to stay and talk to her, which meant a lot to her. "I like watching quidditch.. and playing it."

Daniel smiled widely as she started to talk about watching Quidditch. At least this wasnt going to be to awkward, he thought to himself. They had at least at least one thing in common, and in Daniel's mind, that was probably going to be only thing. He didnt have much in common with anyone, even guys. He was sure that with a girl it would be much much worse. "Do you play for any of the house teams?" He asked politely. "Maybe I'll get to see you on the field, from the stands of course. I wont play for the teams." He smiled slightly and relaxed a little. Becoming not so tense.

"The hufflepuff house." She smiled warmly as she leaned against the wall. Her head turned to the side a little as she watched him stand in the same position. How cute was he, but at the same time after a while it might actually weird her out. If they were walking, it probably wouldn't weird her out as much. "I'd like that." TO know someone would be watching her play it made her feel good.

Returning the girl's smile, Daniel nodded and thought for a moment before saying anything. "I will have to check to see when your next game is so I can make it up there." He blushed a little and started to turn away to hide it. That was definetly not normal for him. He never blushed, never cared what someone said to him, or looked at him. Shaking his head he looked back to her and let the red disappear. "Um.. well I never caught your name. I am Daniel as you already know." The hallways were now completely empty and all of the younger years must have ran off to their next class. The older students away in their dorms or out wandering. "I am not taking up any of your free time am I?" He asked curiously.

"Oh.. sorry.. my names Sara-May.. most people when they spread rumors about me.. call me either blonde freak or ' That weird girl.. Hufflepuff.. you know who I am talking a bout. ' " She smiled as she talked, not allowing the names to bug her. " Then when they can't seem to get a rise out of me.. it makes me even weirder in their eyes.. " She watched the boys posture again. "No.." She smiled. " I have nothing else to do.. it's not often I get company for even a bit of time."

Daniel looked her up and down and shook his head quickly. "Rumors are stupid to spread. It is a sign of weakness in the people that say them." He shrugged and looked down slightly. "I have honestly not heard of any of those rumors. Nor do I pay attention when people are talking about them." He smiled a bit to reassure her and moved out of his standing position and took a few steps to the left. "Do you mind if we walk? Its a bit easier then standing straight." He gave a side smile and waited to see what she'd say. "And Sara-May, it makes you a strong person when you dont let them bother you. That tells me a lot about you." He said smiling full again and winking at her as a reaction.

She smiled with a slight blush, her head instantly looking down to the floor as she moved to stand next to him, a few inches inbetween them. She started to walk with him, the smile lessened to a soft smile. Allowing the smile to leave her lips and grow in her eyes. She moved her head to look towards him. "What else would you like to know about me?" She gave a slight smile and then turned her head to look infront of her.

Daniel walked in step with the girl, making sure not to walk to fast, or walk to slow. Looking over at her occasionally, he did his best to keep his eyes in front of him. Only turning when he absolutely needed to, Daniel finally thought of something to talk about. "Um.. Well. Tell me about your family?" He asked in more of a question then a statement. Now in the back of his mind, he was starting to contemplate if all of this was a good idea. This was going back on his fathers word. What would he do if he found out? Daniel asked himself. Shaking his head, he started to look uneasy as he waited for her answer. Hoping that talking to this girl wouldnt lead to them being to good of friends. It would only lead to disaster. Daniel told himself over and over again.
