"No, thank you for offering, I've almost finished," said Kennie, pulling out the stopper from her bottle of ink and dipping her quill in it. She read a quick couple of sentences in the book, then looked down at her essay. Only one little paragraph to go, and then she had to do the conclusion. All right then, scratch that, two paragraphs. Kennie set to work, pausing every time she finished a line of writing on her essay to blow on the ink to dry it, so she wouldn't smudge it. "Um, not yet today," said Kennie. "Why do you ask?"

Joey shrugged and watched as Kennie finished her work. It didn't seem like there was much more to go. "Erm... well just wondering. I haven't seen him either. I think he's been avoiding me a little. Has he said anything to you about me?" She asked, her mind pretty much stayed on two subjects lately. Her dream...and her feelings for Simon. Both were more than she could handle already. But....both of them together was just making her nuts.

"No, nothing," said Kennie, looking up from her almost completed essay with a bit of a frown. "But you know how Simon gets sometimes, he probably just wanted a bit of time to himself today." Kennie had those moments as well, she supposed that Joey did too. Although they were the best of friends, sometimes they just needed time to themselves, everyone did. Kennie flipped the page in the potions book, skimmed it, then returned to her essay. This book was very tedious and drawn-out, then again, most textbooks were.
