&& I'll be here by the ocean
It was Saturday afternoon, no classes, everyone was free. Well, not exactly being a fifth year defiantly takes a toll on you. All the homework, all the constant studying, all of it is supposed to prepare you for the O.W.L.’s she was planning on doing some of her homework that day but as she was getting ready she happened to glance out her window and saw that the lake was empty! Empty! That rarely happened on a hot day like today…rarely? Hell, never mind that NEVER happened. She could understand though, all grades 5th and up where stuck studying there little hearts out, and the Slytherins favorite pass time lately was to tell all the underclassmen that if they went near the lake the giant squid would attack them. Geez, the looks on there faces where priceless, she thought with a small chuckle.
Just waiting for proof
She made her way down to the lake, the sun reflected her pale skin, she never does realize how pale she is until days like today. She sat down calmly on the edge of the water, her skirt brushing against her mid-thigh, while her tank top swooped down low, revealing her white and black stripped bikini. Well, she had to be prepared. She sat there, with her feet in the water, her knees bent up towards her chest lightly as she rested delicately on her hands behind her. The breeze of the lake took her long dark hair and made it almost dance around her. Her blue eyes following the strands with slight amusement.
That there's sunsets &&
Just then a large wave came up, drenching Aliyah in water. Letting out a small squeak in shock, she stood up quickly, sputtering. Pulling her long strands out of her face, her tank top clung to her form now, showing off her ample curves as she pulled on it slightly, in attempts to make it looser. No such luck, the second she let go of it shot right back to cling to her body. Hearing a chuckle behind her, she whipped around, her hair following a split second later. To see who it was her eyes alight, who in the hell was laughing at her?

Another Saturday afternoon. These were one of the worst days of the week excluding Mondays. No class, no work, nothing to really do except study. And on this particular Saturday, Daniel had no intent on studying at all. He had been studying every night before going to sleep. And for once, he thought he deserved a little break from schoolwork. Looking out his boy's dormitory window, Daniel could see the sun shining brightly overhead. It was going to be a hot day. He thought to himself.
Just as the thought to take a break and lay down came to him, a new thought came to life. It was his fathers voice ringing in his head. "You are not anything unless you put everything you got into it boy." And with that, Daniel was up out of bed and grabbing his Charms book. If he had to study anything, it might as well be his favorite subject. Throwing on a pair of jeans and a white tank Daniel left his hair how it had been that morning. Quite wild, like always. Moving out of the boys dormitory, he stepped out of the Ravenclaw common room and headed straight outside. What better place to study then outside right? Daniel's thoughts exactly.
Looking around, Daniel scanned around for a comfy secluded area. Watching as quite a few first and second years ran around and played he shook his head and moved off the grounds towards the lake. At least there he could sit under a tree and look at the lake while he studied.
Finally as the lake came into view, Daniel watched as noone but a single girl was there. That had to have been a first, especially on a hot day like today. Moving closer, he moved under a tree and sat down, lying his book out in front of him. Looking up at the lake once more, he watched as the lone girl had a huge wave hit her in the face. Letting out a small laugh, he quickly looked back down to hopefully not catch her looking back at him. His smile on his face still at the girl getting whipped by the wave.

Her eyes scanned the grounds, not seeing anyone at first until they fell upon the tree. There at the foot of the tree was a lone student, a Ravenclaw if she was correct. Even those his face was tucked into a book she could see the corners of his lips pulled up into a joyous smile. Oh, he thought it was funny, did he? He sure did have more bravery than most of the other students, they wouldn't laugh at a Slytherin unless they where with another person. Well most of them. Why? Because majority of Slytherins disregarded the rules, as though they where beneath them. Why would she need to worry her little head about silly school rules when soon enough the dark Lord would triumph over this pathetic little school. Bringing it back to it's former glory it once held when Salazar Slytherin still roamed the ancient halls, and since then it's went to the dogs.
"What's so funny, Ravenclaw?" She spat at him, "Trying to cover it up with a book? How typical! A Ravenclaw with there nose so far in the book that they can barely read the words! Now that's unheard of." She snorted sarcasticaly. Normally she didn't pick fights with anyone other than Gryffindor students. but he practicaly asked for it, he laughed at her! If he didn't want her to notice then he wouldn't have done it! He must be asking for it! She assured herself that this was the case.
"What? You're brave enough to laugh at me but now when I noticed you shove your face in a book?" she questioned.

Hearing the girl try to egg on a fight, he could clearly see she was a Slytherin student. And oh how he loathed them. She actually seemed like a different person who would maybe start a conversation, or at least ignore his small outburst of a laugh. But instead she tried to pick a fight, what a horrible idea. Looking up from behind his book he kept his smile on his face and decided to play it off like she wasnt arguing. "Well I just thought it was cute that the wave got you, and I didnt want you to see me blush." He said trying to keep his voice calm for now. "But obviously you cant take a compliment. Just go back to your swimming Slytherin, I dont want to start anything."
Picking up his book and stepping off the ground he shrugged. "I can tell you'd rather be alone. So I'll just move to a different part of the lake." His smile widened as he took a few steps towards the water. "And you should probably work on that tan." He said with a smirk.

"Cute?" She questioned, her delicately shaped eyebrow rose. "You thought it would be cute if I got engulfed in a Hurricane, over there?" She asked, she always compared things to greater disasters, it was a habit of hers. She had no idea why she did it. It was not necessarily a bad habit but not the most pleasant. It just depends on your views or which end of them you are, was it annoying? Sure, she's heard that it was before. Obnoxious? She heard that a lot also. But hell, it was a part of her speech and she almost liked it.
"Go back to my swimming? You think you can order me around like that?" She demanded. how did he know she was a Slytherin? She wasn't wearing her robes, but then again it probably wasn't too hard to tell. "Get a tan?" She liked being pale, it looked better on her than a tan, and a tan is just dying skin anyways. Who the hell wants to walk around with there skin dying? Defiantly not her, the thought was just ...gross.
"And yes, I can take a compliment but someone laughing at you isn't exactly to the best way to express it. so maybe if you actually knew how to give a proper compliment people would be able to take them. Oh, it might help if you didn't insult them after wards." She pointed out with a small smirk pulling at the edge of her lips.

Daniel couldnt help but smile at the girl's exaggeration and sarcasm. That was a little bit overboard he thought. "Well maybe we should tell someone that their is a hurricane hitting hogwarts then. Eh Slytherin?"Letting out another laugh, Daniel stood up and grabbed his book. He could tell that she obviously wanted to be alone and he was definetly not in the mood to fight this girl. Moving away from the tree his face turned straight.
"Now, if I didnt think I could tell you what to do. Would I have told you?" He asked the rhetorical question and kept his eyes on the girl. She did have very nice curves, he thought to himself before kicking himself in the head. Metaphorically of course. "And as for your last comment. It could have very well been a compliment. If you knew what a cute laugh was. But obviously you must not." He said his smile returning from his face before turning his back on her and walking away, moving to a new tree. "And if you wouldnt have became snippy after, maybe I would have told you I thought you were cute. But you are exactly like every other Slytherin. Crude."
Moving along the edge of the water, Daniel looked for a new tree, away from the words of the nasty Slytherin girl. "And for the record girl, im not running from the fight. I just have better things to do."
