Harry shoved his hands in his pockets, having no idea what had possessed him to go on a walk this early in the morning. It had been another sleepless night. He had been spending more time alone of late, now more than ever. Was he depressed? One might weigh that possibility, but Harry did not feel like he had a case of depression, it was more like a burden of guilt with the combination of very little sleep per night. Harry had seen Voldemort in his dreams last night. Perhaps that might explain how he looked almost ill that Saturday.
His scar seemed to stand out more against his paling skin of late, it often had a prickling sensation lingering about it that refused to go away. Nothing seemed to comfort him anymore. Harry felt that he needed something like the guidance of a parent, but even corresponding with Sirius wasn't easing the unsettled feeling that lingered within him. Harry sighed, then ran a hand through his black tresses. It seemed that nothing was simple anymore.

She was taking her usual walk in the morning around the grounds. The wind came towards her and wrapped aorund her like a blanket for a moment. She embraced the wind, her feet stopping and her eyes closed, taking in everything her eyes opened and everything seemed calm and peaceful. A warm smile came on her face as she continued her walk. She walked in the morning and before curfew, it was her way of staying in shape and not forgetting nature's beauty. Her right hand reach up, and her fingers wrapt around a small oval locket hanging on a gold chain around her neck. She closed her eyes once more as she continued to walk. Swaying a bit side to side, she hummed a song. Moments later she spun her self around. When she stopped spinning she noticed Harry. Harry wasn't one to usualy be out here this early, after all she always was out in the morning. The warm smile stayed on her face as she approached Potter.
"Hello Harry.." Her hand was still playing with rocket, it was a habbit.

Harry's tired green eyes looked up at a girl, he felt a bit annoyed, wasn't it obvious that he wished to be left alone at the moment? He just needed a bit of time to himself and his thoughts before the bustle of the day was to begin. He sighed slightly, figuring that this girl wouldn't be the type to test him, he remembered her from Herbology as being a Hufflepuff. At least she wasn't Slytherin, otherwise he might have cursed her before she could get another word out of her mouth. He couldn't find it in himself to reflect the girl's warmness, Harry didn't smile much of late. He ran his knuckles up and down his forehead a moment. She didn't look like she was meaning any harm, but somehow, her presence was getting on his nerves. Like that one itch that your arm isn't long enough to scratch. "Erm, hi," Harry said awkwardly, trying to keep the tiredness out of his voice.

"Having trouble Sleeping?" She knew he probably wanted nothing to do with her at the moment, but she seemed like she needed to help him. It was just an overwhelming feeling that he needed help, even if he couldn't see it. It was just a vibe and she always followed her vibes. Her eyes moved around the area and then back towards him. "You know I know a few remedies you ccan try.. not actually full out potions or anything.. just suggestions.. music, being near someone you love or over protective of.. " She smiled warmly with the thought of Cedric. She quickly got rid of the thought, she was here to help Harry. " I'll leave you alone.. but if you want to talk or something I'll be walking around.." She looked at him concered, her hand moved away from the locket as she started to walk away.

Harry raised his eyebrows, what an odd character. She reminded him almost of Luna Lovegood, they certainly had similar personality traits. He would not have been surprised if the girl had starting talking to him about blimpies, wrakspurts, and crumple-horned snorkaks. All rubbish in Harry's mind. But he didn't let that on while Luna was around, he didn't want to hurt her feelings, she was truly a very nice person. Harry figured that she and this Hufflepuff girl would get along really well if introduced. He stuck his hands as deeply into his pockets as he could, the girl was grating on him, and he was trying to find the politest way possible to ask her to be left alone. But after suggesting sleep remedies, she had then said she would leave him alone. "Erm, all right then," said Harry, then continued on his walk.

He didn't know why he was up this early, but he was going around the castle, when he saw the hufflepuff through a window. With a smirk, he headed down the staircase quickly and headed out to the grounds. Looking around he saw Harry, who seemed still out of it since Cedrics death... ironicly walking twelve steps behind Cedrics old girlfriend, though harry wouldn't have known about it. He did, because he kept trying to get the Hufflepuff's attention ,she was weird in a cute way. "Hey you" He stated as he ran over towards the Hufflepuff. He would talk to her for a bit, then ask her to meet him later and head back towards the castle.

"Hey Wolfie" She smirked as the Gryfindor Head Boy came towards her. " I mean Head Boy, sir.." She gave a warm smile. He had complained about her calling him wolf. Asking her why she insisted on calling him that. She simply replied "I don't know it just suits you" He had hit on her before, but she knew better. A guy like that would never truly like her. She just gave a fake smile, before laughing. "Maybe' Then the Gryffindor left and she just watched him run off in a hurry. "weird..." she mouthed slowly, before continueing to walk.

"Harry " He called out from behind. They hadn't met, but he did know who he was. "Oliver wood speaks greatly of your Flying Skills" He smiled as the long distance between them was closed. "He's my teammate.." His eyes looked around noticing the Hufflepuff, then the Gryffindor that came to talk to her and then just left. His eyebrow raised, wondering sometimes if he was in some weird world like Twilight Zone. "My names Dorrian Carthage.. I just took a part time position here to teach 1st years how to fly." He extended his hand to the well-known Gryffindor.

Great. He had just rid himself of the Luna Lovegood-esque girl only to be bombarded by a new Professor. It seemd that all the Hogwarts staff was retiring these days. Professor Sprout (who was replaced by her unwed daughter, also called Professor Sprout), and now Madame Hooch? It was all to weird. Not wanting to be rude to a teacher, Harry bit his tongue lightly a moment to hold back several rude comments he would have dearly loved to say. He now recognized the name, Carthage was a Puddlemere United chaser, Oliver Wood was their Keeper. Harry took his hand and shook it firmly. "A pleasure, Professor Carthage," said Harry, trying to keep the tiredness out of his voice.

He smirked "Gah don't call me that, it makes me seem old.. I'm only Twenty. .call me Dorrian" He continued to walk with harry, noticing his posture and the look on his face. "Something tells me.. you'd rather be on your own. " He continued to walk when he felt something under his foot. Taking a step back, there was a locket laying on the ground, open. Looking at the picture, he looked up to the back of the hufflepuff girl. That would explain why she was out here this morning, must of lost it and was trying to find it. Or maybe it wasn't the same girl in the locket. She just had the same hair color, he hadn't seen the girls face. Looking at Cedric in the picture, he quickly closed the locket and placed it in his pocket. He didn't want harry seeing the picture. He thought about it for a moment and then looked towards Harry. "This is about Cedric.."

"Erm, right then, Dorrian." said Harry. The name felt a bit strange on his tongue, as if he shouldn't be calling the flying professor by that name. But he had insisted, so Harry would. Incredibly strange. He was glad when Dorrian had said that he could tell that he would rather be on his own. Sometimes Harry just needed time to himself to think about things, cool off, so he wasn't always a time bomb with less than a minute until exploding. But so many people did not understand this, they wanted to talk to the famous, supposedly lying, Harry Potter. He was a human... Harry raised his eyebrows as Dorrian began speaking again, didn't he just say that he was going to leave him alone? "Erm," said Harry, fairly confused.

"you know what.. I think I can help you.... sort out whatever is in your head.... but first.. maybe some flying might help get out some of that emotion.." He watched the fifth year, waiting for a reply to his offer to help. "A race, perhaps.. or practice... you know beating some quaffles is a good way to get out tension.." He knew that Harry was almost 6 years younger than him, but it didn't matter. He couldn't help seeing anyone in the state that Harry was in right now.

Harry had certainly not been planning on spending time with Dorrian, he just wanted to be alone and walk about the ground, then perhaps go and visit Hedwig later in the day. But at the sudden mention of Quidditch, Harry warmed up to the idea. Flying did usually relieve some of his tension, how come he hadn't thought about that? Perhaps he might make it a habit of his to go flying for no reason in particular over the weekends. "Erm, why not?" said Harry. He still felt a bit awkward around Dorrian, but he supposed that might ease after he got on his broom.

"Good.. I'll be right back." He smiled and then jogged around th lake, till he reached the Hufflepuff girl. " I think you lost this" He stated with a warm smile. She thanked him. He moved around behind her and placed the necklace infront of her, The girl held her hair to the side, so that he could connect the ends of the necklace. After it was on he said could bye and then headed back towear he had left harry. "To the broom shed then?" His teaching broom with locked inthe broom shed outside the quidditchpitch. It was in a case with its own lock. Though it wasn't a new broom, or the broom he used to play on, it was a very good broom.
