Aliyah sat in the Slytherin common room, her blue orbs transfixed on the fire before her, lost in thought. After a loud clambering and shuffleing noise to her right, she was quickly wrenched away from her thoughts, as she saw a 4th year boy falling to the enterance of the girls dorms. When where those boys going to learn? The stairways to the girls dorms flatten out into a slide when a boy trys to go up them. Ingenious for the headmaster to think of.Even so, the boy sat there with a smirk as though proud of himself for trying. A small giggle barely reached there ears as a small third year girl came down the stairs behind him, smiling to him. When she reahced him they started snogging. How respectful, she thought.
Nothing was going to break this couple apart. It was disgusting to say the least, they could at least get a room. With a snort she picked up her messenger back, slung it around her shoulder so that it rested peacefully on her hip.“Why is their always so much homework?” she murmured to herself, and of course she put everything off to the last minute. She had homework from every class. She made her way through the portrait hole, and snuck around the corners until she made it to her favorite spot to clear her mind at night. The Astronomy Tower.
She stared up peacefully at the sky while she tried to clear her mind, her brother would have loved it her. How she wished he could be here, he would have picked so many fights. He was always right and would fight you on hours about just how right he was until you agreed with him. She chuckled as she thoughts of the dumb little arguements they used to get into. They where only a year and a half apart. She took her messanger bag off her shoulder and sat it down next to her watching the Black Lake and how the stars glimmered off the surface it was so smooth right now, a lot like liquid glass.

She wasn't left alone for that long a time period. Actually, he had already been in the tower. Sitting behind a statue in a window by the stairwell. It was when he heard footsteps, that he made sure to keep himself invisible. Taking a peak to see who it was as she continued to walk up, he smirked. Silently he moved around and back onto the staircase. Charles had also been doing, well avoiding, astronomy homework. There wasn't really anything going on his mind, which really meant tons of things were going on in his mind, but too fast to catch a word.
He moved into the room and stood at the entrance, waiting and watching. "Hello" He stated watching the slytherin girl closely, wondering if she was up to any tricks. Would he honestly stop her from doing something as a prank, probably not. But if it involved hurting someone, probably so. He then noticed the book in her hand and smirked. " I see we are here for the same reason.. procrastination"

She jumped, startled when the hello reached her ears. She whipped around her wand out and extended towards the boy. Hmph, Gryffindor. She thought with a smug look, even though she had heard that some of the Gryffindors aren't out for Slytherins she has yet to meet one, so in her mind, that was falty. Plus after 5 years with the 'golden trio', 'The Chosen One', or 'The Boy Who Lived' she was a little tired of the Gryffindors, every time they broke the rules it was forgiven. Every time a Slytherin does (Which is quiet often) There ready to go back to old-school with the detentions, like hanging them by there toes in the dungeon, and such.
She was thinking of a good hex to get her out of this situation, before the boys words actually registered,Procrastination...?What in the world is he talking about? She thought, before she glanced down at her bag and book. Oh, so he was up here to get away with doing homework? He wasn't here for a fight? "Why where you behind me? Did you follow me?" She questioned, her eyes running up and down his form before she lowered her wand slightly.

He smirked with a slight laugh. "Actually no.. I was behind the angel statue in the window , you know in the stairwell.. Fell asleep, the sound of someone in the stairwell woke me up. Came to investigate who that was, is that problem?" He didn't even glance at her wand, but tried to keep eye contact. He didn't know this slytherin, so he wasn't about to just judge her. If it was him in this position, his wand would be held in a ready position as well. He looked towards her book and then back to her. "I didn't realize i'd find a fellow astronomy student. My paper is literally blank, and astronomy is probably one of my better classes, though I hate to admit it. "
"My names Charles and you are?" He said politely extending his hand, for an introductory handshake. He doubted she would take it, but if she did, he would take her hand and place a polite kiss on it. It was in his nature, he was a flirt of sorts. He hadn't ever really found a girl he'd really see himself with, if he ever did there would be a definite change in how he interacted with other women.

Aliyah lowered her wand to her side but kept a tight grip on it, she had her rows with Gryffindor and as many times as she's hexed them the second there guard went down she made sure to never give any Gryffindor the same satisfaction. "Astronomy is no where near one of my better subjects, I see no point to it. Just like how I see no point to Divination. Actually now that I think about it this place is filled with worthless classes." She glanced down at her book, " My paper is blank and for some reason I don't see it changing from that state." She said with a small sigh.
That was when he introduced himself, Charles, Why did that name sound so framilar...? Was he in her class? No, judging by his height he was a year or two older than herself. She couldn't put her finger on it exactly but this boy was framilar. She knew it, she just had no idea why he was so framilar. And the she watched him extend his hand. Normally she'd laugh and turn around, She would never lower herself to shake hands with a Gryffindor, That proud lot. But tonight it looked like she was going to have nothing to do, so why not toy with this boy? Sure, he was a Gryffindor, but that just made it so much sweeter in the end.
With a small smirk she took the boys hand, "The names Aliyah, remember it."

He shook her hand, and moved a bit closer. "I'll try." He smirked as he lowered his head to kiss the back of her hand gently. Then he moved his head back up, and stood up straight. Letting go of her hand, he moved over to another window. He was always on defense, it didn't look like it, but he was. "What year are you?" He looked over towards the girl, before looking back out the window. Moving from his standing position to sitting down on the window seal, his eyes once more went towards the girl. The books that were under his left arm were now sitting infront of him on the window seal. Homework. He didn't like homework .
He hated homework actually. Usually he could get his charms to get him out of a homework assignment, but he decided he should actually do some work this time. He smirked and allowed it to slowly fade as a thought ran through his mind. HE continued to watch the girl, waiting for her to prove an enemy or friend.

Her eyes widened slightly as his lips brushed against her pale skin, Did he really just dare to...? Oh well, all the more fun to toy with. She thought. "Why don't you tell me your year first, darling. in case you forgot I was the one who was interrupted." She told him as she returned to her previous spot on the floor next to her bag as she looked up at him.
Her knees where bent up towards her chest, as she wrapped her arms around them, her wand still in her hand but in a more relaxed state. She stared up at him, what was with this boy? Was he actually trying to have a civil conversation with her? A Slytherin? She pondered. Tucking her dark hair behind her ear she watched him closly, analyzing him with her bright eyes.

"fare enough." He paused with a warm smile, his eyes moved from the slytherin to the window. "7th year.." He looked back towards the slytherin. " And you?" He wait\ed for a reply. Once getting it he wouldn't speak. Atleast not for a little bit. HE would keep his eyes on the sky, his ears on his surrounding, and his body relaxed. He wondered what was going through the slytherin's head.
"You know it's unfair to judge someone based on those most around them." He looked towards the girl, hoping to look her in the eyes as he continued to talk. "The look your giving me, says you don't trust me." He smiled watching the girl. It was more of like not knowing what he was up to, than fully not trusting him. " How far are you into that homework." He changed the subject not knowing what else to say, but wanting to keep up the conversation. It was very rare to hold a conversation with a slytherin or well just a normal conversation with a girl in general.

Hmph...This boys probably of age. "5th year, If you must know. And no, I'm not judging just because of the poeple surrounding you. But truth be told, why would you surround yourself with people unlike you? I'm 'judging', for a lack of a better term, on the qualities you have that put you into the house your in. Because with qualities like yours and the qualities that I posses don't typically interact with one another on a friendly basis. And I'm not going to trust you after knowing you for a total of 5 minutes."
She watched him, looking for his reaction, before her eyes interlocked with his. "And I have not even looked at the homework."

"You honestly, don't think people in other houses have similiar traits to Slytherins. Alot of hufflepuffs are actually borderline.. " He smirked watching the slytherin girl. "I associate with people the most like me, yes. But doesn't mean that's the only to me. I'd like to think I was well rounded and can get along with different types of people. It's always good to have a friend or two that are in different social classes or have different interests. That way something comes up in the future, where you know nothing about the subject, you have someone to talk to." He looked towards the SLytherin girl, still wondering what was going on in that mind of hers.
"Well i guess it's time to open a book then."

She sneered at him, This kid really does think he knows it all. Doesn't he realize that once he's out of here that he will be judged, and maybe even killed with the way the Dark Lord's gaining power, just based on who he surrounds himself with. "I actually don't plan on doing my homework tonight, it's way too nice. And I'm a Slytherin, remember? I'm expected to do something a little bad, here and there. It's way too nice out to waste time on homework. How about just for tonight we forget about houses and have a little fun?" She questioned Charles, eyeing him for a reaction.
She had no idea what came over her, it was more than a little out of place for her. She had never done anything but fight with a Gryffindor, how strange. He seemed a little bit different from the rest of them though. And no one's around to see them together so....Why not?

He smirked, she really didn't realize how alike to Slytherins he was. The only difference between him and a slythering were kind words and the ability to throw himself infront of someone. He'd die for a friend or even an aquintance. SUnlike him Slytherins have no bravery. It's the reason why they are symbolized with a snake. They like to hide, be tricky, but they won't stick up for anyone. They will watch there own back and watch a friend die. He looked at her carefully wondering what she was up to, what was going on her mind.
"That depends" He gave another smirk. "What did you have in mind?" He knew very well how to play a prank or two. Slytherins though did it out of harshness and dislike, Charles did it out of entertainment with no harsh motive.

"I don't know, something besides homework." She was never good at coming up with the main idea, she was good at filling in some good details and adding on. She wasn't in the mood to pull a prank, plus what good did it do at night? She wouldn't be able to see the looks on there faces then. There was no point or satisfaction to her if she couldn't see their reaction.
She stood up, dusting off her skirt, before she leaned over the windows ledge looking out at the grounds. They where really pretty and very large. One just doesn't appreciate it quiet enough. Nothing made her appreciate it more than right now with the stars falling in place around it. That was when her eyes fell on the lake, they lit up,"Let's go swimming!" She exclaimed.
She always loved water, once she got in it it was hard to get her out of it. She could spend hours in a lake, pool, ocean or any body of water really. She loved it, it helped her relax she felt so at ease whenever she was swimming.

"You dare disturb the creatures that lie in that lake.. That's probably the worse idea. Even with a wand to ward them off, that will just make them more angry" He smirked, because he knew something she didn't now. That piece of information she didn't know was about him and the creatures in that lake. He's been in that lake many of times, the creatures definitely didn't like people in their water. At Night they came closer to the surface.
"But I've got a better idea.. " He smirked and stood up, picking up his book, he then looked towards her. "Just trust me, it's much better than any lake." He moved towards the door to the staircase "Up to you if you want to follow or not." He moved down the staircase at a moderate speed. Making his way back into the main part of the Castle. It wouldn't take long, apparently those on duty were in another part of the castle at the time . He stopped for a moment outside the prefects bathroom, then entered. He would place a spell on the door so no one else could come in. Inside the bathroom lay a huge bath, with pumps, big enough to be a descent size pool.

Before she could answer him about the lake she followed, she followed a little bit behind him though, in case he was caught so she'd have enough time to double back and save herself from detention. She only got right behind him when they came to the prefects bathroom, Didn't he know there was a password...? She thought, but apparently he knew it because she was stepping inside the huge, ornate bathroom. The bath was about the size of a pool! Perfect! She ran over to the pumps, sliding slightly as she did, before turning a handful of them on. She had no idea what they did but she kept herself amused turning them all on and off and seeing what each of them did.
