"I couldn't" She looked back up to catch a glance at the Ravenclaw boy. A slight smile on her face and in her eyes stayed on her face as she went back to eating her food. She stayed silent a while. Every now and then taking a glance at the ravenclaw boy, when she thought she felt someone looking at her.

You can and you should. Hermione said and took another bite of a biscuit. Looking around, she let a small sigh escape her lips and then let her arms gently rest on the table as she looked over at the Ravenclaw boy once again. Come on Ginny. You have to ask him. One of us should be off having fun with a guy. Go say hi. Hermione said. |

She got up out of her chair, not saying anything. She was nervous, because she hated rejection. Moving to the Ravenclaw table, she stood across from the Ravenclaw boy. "Hello" He listened to his hello and she started to see if he might want to hang out, but he cut off her slowed words and asked her if she wanted to hang out. "I'd love to..." They continued to talk, a few minutes later she went back to the gryffindor table, with no expression on her face. "Now it's your turn to take your own advice.."

Hermione turned and watched her, smiling a small smile. She had heard the end part and just grinned even more. When Ginny came back, she turned so her back was to the Ravenclaw table and just looked at her plate a moment. My turn? And who am I going to say hi to or ask to hang out? Hermione said as she looked over at her. |

"Anyone... someone you find attractive" She gave a warm friendly smile. "you've got to like someone.." If hermione didn't pick someone, then Ginny would have to for her. Her eyes looked around the Great Hall and then back towards Hermione. Where was Harry and Ron, when did they turn down food?

Ginny...there really isn't anyone around that I like. She said and looked around the room and then back over at Ginny. The one person that she did like, was Ron and that was never going to happen. Shaking the thought from her head, Hermione just took another bite of her biscuit and sat there. |

"Well if you did easiest way to make them jealous go out with another guy...in front of them." Her eyes moved towards Dean for a moment, then back to the Head Boy. Her eyebrow rose watching the Head boy for a moment. "He doesn't seem Head Boy material to me.. If you ask me.. he got the part to try and keep him in line or something." Her head then moved to look back infront of him. Ginny took another bite and looked up hearing someone walk in, thinking it be Harry.... or her brother, but it wasn't and a slight disappointment showed on her face.

Hermione looked over at the Head boy a moment and then back over at Ginny. Yeah, he probably did. She said and just shook her head. By the looks of it, anyone was getting prefect and heads these days. Shaking it off, Hermione just sat there on the bench. And who do you suggest I go out with to make some other guy jealous? She said and gave a small smile. |

Ron walked into the Great Hall for a bit of food. He was starving. He and Harry had been practicing for Quidditch all day. Harry was trying to help Ron get a little better. He spotted Ginny, his little sister, and Hermione looking around and giggling at some Head Boy. He could feel himself getting red in the ears.
He didn't like either of them checking out boys, though he suppose he couldn't really stop them. He sat down beside Hermione and began knawing on a chicken bone. "Hey, whats up?" He said, with a bit of food in his mouth. He smiled at both of them. "Harry's in the Common Room. He might come out here later," He said, knowing they would both want to know.

She didn't say anything when ron entered. Her eyes just moved to look over towards her brother. The smile now off her face from staring at the Ravenclaw boy earlier on. Her eye moved from Hermione to Ron and then she lowered her head to look at the plate infront of her. She was full and yet she felt like eating. Her eyes moved back to Hermione studying her reaction to Ron, but soon was back to looking towards the Ravenclaw table.

Ronald, do you have to talk with your mouth full? Hermione said as she turned her head and looked over at him. Pushing her hair out of her face, she looked back down at her plate when he mentioned Harry was in the common room. He should come and eat something. She said and looked over at Ginny, then back down at her plate. |

Ron grinned and swallowed his food. "Sorryyy. Maybe Harry will come down soon. I don't know. I can't read his mind," He said a bit irritated. He looked around and could tell they were talking about something private. "Would you like me to leave so you girls can talk about boys?" He said feeling a bit unwanted. He looked over at the Head Boy and frowned. "I see...I'll just go then..." He said, turning to leave.

Her eyes moved to where Ronalds eyes were going. "Oh.. sit back down Ronald.." She rolled herh eyes, then her voice became a bit lower. "we were just discussing how he became headboy.. I mean he has to be near the Level of Fred and George.. when it comes to behavior.." Atleast that was the word about the boy that she had heard. "But maybe I'm wrong.." She looked back towards her brother and then behind him at the ravenclaw table. She then looked towards Hermione. " I"m sure you and hermione could find something to talk about, she smirked. "See you guys later" She said as she got out of her seat, grabbing her books quickly, to meet up with Micheal as he was just about the leave the Great Hall. The boy took her books for her and the two along with some of Michaels friends headed out the great hall.

Ronald, sit down. Hermione said as she pulled him back down to the bench and then finished off her cider and just sat there. It really was nothing. We were just talking about how he could have gotten head boy. That was all. I would never go out with him. She said, telling the truth. Yeah, maybe he would be an okay friend but, defiantly nothing more. Shaking the thought from her head, she turned her body towards Ron a little and then over at Ginny as she said she was heading off. Not what she had wanted but, before she could stop her, Ginny was off. Oh well... She thought to herself. So...how was practice with Harry? She asked. |

Harry kneaded his forehead with his knuckles as he walked down the stairs to the Great Hall. His scar was prickling uncomfortably, perhaps it had something to do with the recurring dream involving the iron door at the end of the corridor. After thinking on it a moment, he remembered it from the hearing back in August, it had been the entrance to the Department of Mysteries, or at least, that was what Mr. Weasley had told him. Harry supposed that he wouldn't be apt to lie about it... Harry yawned, it had been a rough Quidditch practice with Ron. He had told him he needed to go back to the commons, in reality, he had been searching for Cho, coming up empty, he had decided to go to lunch. "Hello," Harry said, fighting back a yawn as he piled food onto his plate. Not paying attention to what it was, he began to eat. |
