Joey smiled more at the thought of Simon liking her. Was she telling the truth? She shrugged. She knew that Simon had a bit of a...darker...side. But not when it came to her and Kennie, and obviously not Sara either. "I know...he told me once. We used to talk all the time about everything. And now that all of this stuff is going on. The really important stuff...it seems like we can't seem to communicate." She said. Maybe she should tell him how she felt.
But.... she wasn't ready yet. Maybe during the ball. No matter who he's with. She would be able to know who he was through his mask. "You've been a lot of help. Thanks." She added. "We could help each other get ready. You, me, and Kennie!" She said. Joey loved those girls nights. "We can just stay the night in the Room of Requirement. I'm in need of a good girls night and I know Kennie is too." She said excitedly.

"Uh.. i don't think that would be a good idea.. " Kennie didn't seem to get along with her, which was fine. Not everyone had to get along with her. She had tried to get her mind off of the incident, by getting Kennie angry at her, but that didn't seem to work. "I don't think she liked me making fun of the english accent.. " She wasn't going to mention the fact that she had seen it happen, though for some reason she didn't see it before hand.. apparently her ability was being weird. Maybe she had it before like she had with Cedric when she was younger before she even knew Cedric. She closed her eyes for a moment and then stood up, as she stood up she skipped a stone into the lake , then put the other in her pocket.

Joey shook her head. "Oh...it takes a while for Kennie to warm up to someone, thats all. She'll like you fine. She's going through a lot too," She said sighing. Joey remembered finding Kennie just lying there so cold and scared. It was a good thing that Ron had been there. Simon thought it was his fault, but that was ridiculous. Even Joey was smart enough to know that blaming yourself for something like that made things so much worse. "I just hope that Simon doesn't do something stupid or dangerous."

"Simon does do stupid and dangerous things.. " She smiled warmly before looking back over her shoulder to the ravenclaw. "I Know.. I saw it about four or five hours too late.. Got too worked up about it...that Dumbledore took me to Cedric's grave thought it would help.. good guy... and no i don't know who it was.. it doesn't work like that.." She wasn't the type that could hold back on stuff she knew when it affected people she knew. She could keep secrets, but somethings just tore at her sometimes that she needed someone to talk to. Usually that person was simon. She is one of like 10 boys, so how to act and behave like most other girls in this school well she just couldn't do that. Though she was sent to a fancy school to learn manners and table manners..
" Dumbledore already got everything out of me that I coul see.. he's handling everything.. Simon of course can not be aware of this until they find whoever it was and that person is sent far away.. because he's one of my only friends.. true friends.. and he definately would do something stupid.." She bent down and picked up a few more pepples, skipping them into the lake, every now and then slipping one into her pocket. "as for the invite for the dance, I don't believe I'll be going.. Dancing usualy requires a guy and a girl.. except for thos group dances which then the girls seem to dance" She became rather happy. "At our old home" the southern accent showing a bit more, it wasn't harsh or anything like people would expect based off of films, it was rather nice and soothing. " Weddings and parties .. all the girls would end up doing line dances.. so much fun. Now and again a guy might join in.. but the guys tended to let the girls do the dancing and usualy the leading.. not many of them new how to dance.. which is why my mom and dad made sure all 9 or 10 of my brothers will know how to dance. Three of them are two young.. but the rest have started or have taken dance lessons.. Including.. Darren.. very proud of him.. he has such a busy life.. he's subbing for Divination right now.." She started babling. She did that when she became happyy. To her everything was somehow connected like mousetrap and the iffletower. She smiled "Sorry babbling.. love my family so much.." She didn't know what else to say, figured she over talked so she would just stay silent.

Joey smiled and sighed. "Yeah I know...I guess we should keep a close eye on him," She shrugged and threw a rock in. "I've never talked to Dumbledore myself. I thought about going to him about my dreams. But he's super busy and well...I don't know if he'd be all too interested in some silly girl's dreams." She looked out into the lake and yawned slightly. "I'll just have to find a way to deal with it."
She stood up and looked at her favorite willow tree. She smiled and climbed up to the lower branch and swung upside down on it. "Don't be sorry...I wish I had a big family. I used to dream about finding my dad. But once I got older... I guess I got realistic," Joey was beginning to see why she liked this girl. "You remind me of my godmother. She's American.... she's sort of I guess some would say 'Americanized' me. Kennie used to tease me all the time when I drink coffee or talk about Nirvana," She laughed. She always felt better when she was in nature or when she was upside down. This was how she got her nickname, Spidermonkey.

"Oh.." She stated looking towards the girl who had just said she was like her caretaker. " Dumbledore takes time out for his students in need. I think he'd help.. " Her eyes looked towards Joey as she skipped another stone into the water. "I think you and Kennie have it convered." Simon was her only friend. She didn't really hang out with him outside of the commons, but he was the only one besides her siblings that she felt close to. " I think I'll go.." Her eyes moved behind her, simon was walking towards them.

He was heading out the castle. Seeing two of his best friends by the lake... IT would take him a bit before he'd get there, because he walked slow. His eyes moved across them both as he walked towards them. If people would just give Sara-May a chance, she was a sweet girl. His feet soon were catching up to them. "Hi.." He smiled to the both of them. His eyes going from the Hufflepuff to the ravenclaw. He didn't really know what else to say. He hadn't really been around Joey because he wasn't sure he could be with out trying to tell her how he felt and he didn't think it was the right moment for that.

Joey's face light up a little as she saw Simon. She hadn't seen him much lately. It ticked her off a bit actually but she couldn't be mad at him forever. Maybe....he just didn't want to be friends with her anymore. She waved at him. "Hey Simon," She hopped down from the tree and leaned against it, watching him. She hoped that he was just wanting to be alone or something. Cause...she really didn't want to be without him as a friend. She never wanted to be without him period. She didn't think she could help it. "I guess.... I might go to Dumbledore... I mean, it can't hurt right? If anything he could either help or do nothing...." She rambled.

" Sorry I haven't been around much lately.. I was a bit sick... didn't want you to catch anything.. " He did seem like he was hanging around Kennie more, but much like his friend Sara-May, who was slowly walking off, these days his social life seemed to stay in the commons. He tended to live in teh commons, he just didn't know what else to do. It was hard to be around Joey anymore, not because he didn't like her. On the contrary he was in love with her and it just wasn't the right time for it. He felt like he needed to make sure she knew he was still there for him.
"I felt like coming out taking a walk.. I figured I'd find a spider-monkey in a tree."

She smiled warmly. "Hello Simon. I'll think about your offer.. Joey." She was talking about the ball. She gave a little nod good by along with a curtsey before skipping off towards the coffee. She looked up towards the sky as she stopped walking, smirking she looked foward and continued to walk off so that she might leave simon and Joey alone.
